Mongolbaria Kamil Madrasa(মঙ্গলবাড়ীয়া কামিল মাদ্রাসা) is an old educational institute that was established at 1800 AD to enhance the Islamic education. Bangladesh has lot of institutes which are Islamic minded, but only few of those are older like this one. It was established by Nazim Uddin Khondokar(নাজিম উদ্দিন খন্দকার).
After visiting the Hoarshi Shahi Mosque, I have hired the same rickshaw puller. Though he is a rickshaw puller, but he also practices herbal treatment using the herbs. We had a lot of chat on various plants and similar things during the ride. It was just before the sunset. Riding on a rickshaw through a village during this time is always a different thing to feel. Everything is quiet and chaos at the same time as a transition is happening between the day and the night.
How to Go:
Mongolbaria Kamil Madrasa(মঙ্গলবাড়ীয়া কামিল মাদ্রাসা) is located at the Pakundia Upazila(পাকুন্দিয়া উপজেলা) of Kishoreganj district. There is no direct public transportation available between the town and the Madrasa(মাদ্রাসা). You have to hire a rickshaw or a battery driven vehicle for the round trip. The ride that I have mentioned above did cost me 120 Taka. But from the town, it will probably be around 60-70 Taka for a round trip using different route.
