Bray air show 2017 – Ireland

The annual air display held at Sunday, 23 July 2017 in Bray. It was a lovely sunny day and plenty of people gathered at the beach of Bray. Also lot of enthusiastic people were gathered at the top of the hill as well. One report says it was around 90 thousand people have gathered during the show. It was a two days of air display in Bray. But we’ve only gone for the second day.

We had to take dart (the commuter train) to reach Bray. But the train was full with people and there wasn’t any breathing space as well. In most of the stoppages the train couldn’t pick people as well. Although the Irish train was operating more trains than usual days to cope up with the overwhelming crowd. They had the train in every 10 minutes I guess. Anyway, we had to stand inside all the way to Bray. It was around 40-50 minutes of journey.

When we’ve reached there the beach was already occupied by the spectators. We’ve selected an empty space in the pebble beach and sat on there to enjoy the show. I’ve only seen this kind of show on television before. So was a bit excited to watch in live. There were different kind of aircrafts have participated on that show. I’ve liked those which were with the flare. Those aircrafts were making lovely patterns in sky.

A carnival (with plenty of rides) was organized beside the airshow. People were enjoying those things very happily. I always wanted to enjoy those kind of activities. But as I have vertigo I’d never be able to do that. But watching other people doing fun was also nice to watch. There were several food corners too. I guess those food corners and the kid’s corners were always busy.

The Bray air show has continued for another few hours. But we’ve decided to return back home early to avoid the crowd. Otherwise there was no reason to leave such an excellent show early.
