Dublin castle in afternoon – Ireland

Dublin castle - Ireland

Dublin castle is the most famous edifice from Dublin (or even whole island of Ireland). This famous castle was built around 800 years ago (opened at 1204 AD). Though nothing much left from this medieval castle except the lonely tower. This castle draws plenty of attractions from the Dublin visitors as it is standing at the heart of the Dublin city. Most of the tourist can come to the castle by having a short walk from their hotel. That’s why no one misses the opportunity to explore the castle before leaving Dublin. More detail about the castle can be found in Wikipedia and the dublincastle website.

Being near from our house I like to visit the Dublin castle very often. During winter time you can enjoy the night time view of the castle as the sun goes down very early. I like to seat at the castle garden. The garden is not that much big but has several benches for the visitors. From my own experience the castle looks most beautiful from the garden side and square in front of the castle.
