Parjatan Motel is located after the Tabalchhori of Rangamati town. People can stay there while visiting this outstanding district of Bangladesh. To attract more people, local authority built a small Hanging bridge over the lake. Everyday a lot of tourists use to visit there, specially during afternoon.
This bridge was built during 1984 or around that time. In Bangla this is known as Jhulonto bridge (which means Hanging bridge in English) although this is not a true hanging bridge. It has two pillars at both sides, but inside water. It was rainy season, and not that many tourists available here. I came to know that it would be much crowded during the winter as that is the peak tourist time. Also, during some rainy season this bridge sometimes goes under water as the water level rises.
Surrounding area of the hanging bridge is very nice. You could enjoy your afternoon there. Also you could pass time by walking around. They have a small cafeteria near there. You could find several cottages near the bridge where you can spend your night. Those are maintained by the Parjatan corporation of Bangladesh. So the quality is very top notch.
You could have a boat ride here. Mostly the visitors use to take their boat directly after visiting the Shubolong waterfall. I saw visitors were swimming in lake. Not sure it is permitted to do or not. If so, take extra care as you might not want to end up with anything bad during your trip.
