Ichamati (or Ichhamati) is probably the most common name for a river in Bangladesh. There are many districts in Bangladesh were you’d find a river by this name. The photos of this Ichamati river were taken from Munshiganj. It was near Taltola of Serajdikhan.
This Ichamati river is originated from the great Dhaleswari river. It is a narrow river, but when I visited there it was just before the rainy season. So I found the river was full with water and flow. Also the banks of the river were full with green (from grass and jute plantation).
I visited the river after visiting the Fegunasar Shiva Temple which was closer from there. Very few activities were around the river such as people were bathing, local people crossing via boat, transport boats carrying goods through river, etc. The GPS coordinate of the portion of the river is (23°33’16.9″N, 90°26’14.7″E).
