The beach of the Mawa is now a lovely tourist attractions for the people who use to enjoy a picnic day. It’s almost a place like Ashulia of Dhaka. You could go Mawa from Dhaka easily. There are lot of bus services available from Fulbaria of Gulstan. For example Bikrampur service, Elish, Anondo, etc are few good ones.
I left the bus near the Mawa Gol Chokkor (not sure whether this place exists or not due to the bridge construction), and then walked few steps straight towards the south until I reach to the beach Mawa ferry ghat. During the dry season, this use to be a vast beach like place. That time you could walk mile after mile without any break.
But my visiting time was rainy season, and the river was full with water. All the beaches were under the water, and I had very small amount of sand to stand to enjoy the beauty of Padma river.
If you love to walk around river then you would not like Mawa in rainy season. But if you are a fan of river then it is a different story. River Padma is so fast that it is hard to see the other part of the river from the beach during rainy season.
